Road To The Championship Goes Through Moscow |

Moscow, Russia- August 2, 2007 Evander Holyfield has always stated that his goal was to unify the heavyweight championship. He is now one step closer to doing that. Evander "The Real Deal" Holyfield will fight Sultan Ibragimov on Oct. 13th in Moscow, Russia for the WBO World Heavyweight Championship.
"This is the first step on my quest to become the undisputed heavyweight champion of the world, and I'm glad Sultan Ibragimov was willing to step up and give me a shot," said Holyfield, over the phone, during a press conference held in Moscow. "I'm looking forward to fighting in Moscow for the first time and winnning my fifth heavyweight title there."
This fight was put together in quite quickly after Ruslan Chagaev dropped out of a fight, on the same date with Ibragimov, due to an unspecified stomach ailment.
